Carrie Underwood, country music star and mother to 20-month-old son Isaiah, has a piece of advice for all moms, especially working moms; ask for help. Yes, country songstress Carrie could relate to all normal moms out there.
In an interview with Redbook, Underwood opened up about how motherhood changed her and shared the things she has gained and learned from being a mom. She said to Redbook that she definitely feel like it (motherhood) has changed her as a person.
However it's not like that always, just like other normal moms, Underwood is also overwhelmed. Motherhood has taught Underwood so many things and she even admitted she's still learning up to now. One great lesson she has learned, especially as a working mom, is to never be afraid to ask for help.
"Ask for help," she advises other mothers, especially working mom, according to People. She added that accepting help is hard for her, but she is learning.
On being a mother, she noted that she's happier and in a better mood most of the time and that she's completely in love with her son. "I love it when he's sleepy and I get to hold him and smell him," the songstress told People.
In a nutshell, motherhood has filled her life a new dose of happiness. Given her hectic schedule, as she has toured the country for her "Storyteller Tour: Stories In The Round," according to Soundslikenashville, plus attending the needs of her hockey-player husband, it has also filled her life some guilt feelings.
Underwood confessed in Redbook that sometimes she would feel guilty that her son has to live with her on a bus and in a hotel room and sometimes in the middle of nowhere which she noted not so great.
"I felt a little bad that he doesn't have 'normal' babyhood," she told Today.
The country music singer just hopes that everything will be OK and so far according to her, everything is good. "I give motherhood my all. I give entertaining my all. Hopefully everything will be OK and so far it has been," she said to Today.
Nonetheless, she will not let the busy lifestyle or the guilt feeling stop her from having another bundle of joy. She and husband Fisher wish to have baby number two, according to People.
