At almost 30 years old, "Pan" actress Amanda Seyfried admits that she senses she no longer has enough time to have a baby. Gracing the cover feature of Marie Claire U.K.'s latest issue, the star said that she thinks her "eggs are drying off".
"I need to get on it... I want a child. Badly. I want to be a mother, badly. That's what I feel. I've been feeling it for like, two years. I'm not ready but nobody's ready. It changes everything... so how you can ever be ready for that?" she told the magazine, as reported by E! Online.
The actress has been dating comedian Justin Long for two years now, and it looks like there's no rush to walk down the aisle. In fact, Amanda was recently asked about marriage during the red carpet premiere of "Ted 2," and the actress could only laugh about it.
"I got married so many times in my life—onscreen!" she said in another report from E! Online. She also said that she's not keen on wearing a white dress, "I've worn so many of them. You know what I mean? The fact is, that kind of stuff is less about the ceremony and more about the commitment. So it's like children. That's where it's at, right? For me. But it's different for everybody," she remarked.
She adds that ideally, she would like to have children in the next four or five years. "And the second one can happen between 35 and 40. Or I can adopt...It's fine. I definitely want to a couple kids." She has been so open about wanting children that it's all she could ever talk about these past few months while doing the press rounds for "Ted 2."
Back in June, when she also graced the cover of Vogue, Amanda said that she wants her future kids to attend the local school in Stone Ridge, where she has recently bought a new country house. "There are some really good schools around here," she said. "I would like my life to be the same as it is now, but with a little less stress and a little less work."
Amanda and Justin met through friends, and she started following him on Instagram. She thought that he was really funny. The two both come from close-knit families; hence they both share a love for family. "Justin likes being at home with his parents. And I like that about him," she said in Vogue.
