Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have been together for a number of years but have been married for only two years when the actress filed for divorce from the actor. Accordingly, the reason behind the split was because he got verbally and physically abusive towards their eldest son, Maddox. However, their former bodyguard claims that the family is not as close-knit as they claim to be because he said that he basically fathered the six children of the A-list now-estranged couple.
The former bodyguard, Mark Billingham, who is a former SAS officer and worked in Iraq, said in an interview with The Sun that working for the couple and their kids was his most difficult job. He was with them as the head of security for 18 months and the couple's primary concern was the safety of the six children they share namely Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and the twins Knox and Vivienne.
Billingham noted that it was established from the start that Pitt and Jolie were comfortable with him as he could take the children anywhere he wants on his own. No one else in the security team could do that. He added that sometimes if he wanted to bring in extra people while out with Jolie and Pitt's children, they would not let the other people near the children. He added, "They could look out for them from a distance but they couldn't physically touch them. I took them swimming. I fathered them, basically."
As for the reason why he left his post as the head of security of the family of Pitt and Jolie, he said that he had to go back to normalcy as his own family life was also being affected, US Weekly reported.
The former head of security of Jolie and Pitt will be joining three other show hosts in the new series "SAS: Who Dares Win." The show will have 25 people undergo training for the SAS at an Ecuadorian jungle. He joked that Jolie should try it out but Pitt should not apply because he is too pretty for the job. He went on to say that Jolie could probably do it since she might stick it out until the end.
Billingham did not provide anything about the divorce of Jolie and Pitt.
The estranged couple is yet to comment on the statements of Billingham.
