Tamera Mowry is a proud mom for the second time as she welcomes her daughter, Ariah Talea Housley, on Wednesday, July 1, with husband Adam Housley. The baby girl weighs 10 lbs. 2 oz. and measures 20.5 inches, Tamera's rep confirmed the good news to People.
Adam, the new dad, was overjoyed. He announced and introduced their new bundle of joy in his Twitter account.
Housley, 42, a senior correspondent for Fox News, was obviously overjoyed with the arrival of their little princess. His continuous tweets on the day that Ariah was born revealed his excitement and gratefulness to wife, Tamera, 36.
The second-time dad was not the only family member who was excited about the little girl's arrival. Her big brother, Aden, was not just excited, he even prepared a video for her little sister, revealed the couple.
"We are beyond overjoyed and blessed with our beautiful baby girl. Aden already made a welcome video for her," the new parents told People.
The couple announced the news about Tamera's pregnancy in January through Instagram, Daily News reports. Although it was Tamera, who announced the pregnancy, it was her husband, Adam, who revealed the sex of their baby. The dad-to-be announced on his show, "I am scared out of my mind. We are having a girl!"
However, while the people were eager for the couple to confirm Tamera's second pregnancy prior to their announcement, there was a person who did not need her big revelation – her twin sister, Tia Mowry-Hardrict.
Tamera revealed that their family waits for eight weeks before they reveal their pregnancy to make sure that everything is okay, but even before reaching that point, she received a call from her twin sister asking her if she was pregnant.
"But my sister gets it because we're twins. She just called me and she was like, 'Are you pregnant?' And I said, 'Yep, I am!', " revealed the new mom to People.
As a second-time mom, Tamera has enough experience about parenting, and she was generous enough to share parenting tips to new moms in Us Weekly.
First, if moms can't get their kids to eat vegetables, the "Real" co-host advise to go juicing. "You just add some apple juice, carrot juice, kale, and spinach, and you put that in your Vitamix. Aden loves it."
Second, if moms are transitioning their children from the nursery bed to toddler bed, this is what the actress-model mom has to say, "Have patience with your child, and not only that, have patience with yourself."
