The New Acer Chromebook 15 Has Been Released With A Questionable Specs; A Low-Powered Laptop In 2016?

The Chromebook was first introduced on June 15, 2011, and since then earned a good reputation due to its cheap price. As of today, Acer has just released the new Acer Chromebook 15 and is being sold for $199 per unit.

The first time that the Chromebook hit the market back in 2011, Samsung and Acer created a minimal Chromebook design with good specs. Due to the massive changes and upgrades in the technology in the last 5 years, the Chromebook went by with these upgrades.

In a review by the Tech Crunch on the Acer Chromebook 15, one of its main features is the battery life, where the Acer Chromebook 15 can withstand the normal usage up to 12 straight hours. The Acer Chromebook 15 has 3 hours longer battery life than the previous version.

With a screen display of 1366 x 768, enough to make room while working on multiple apps at the same time. Acer Chromebook 15 has a 15.6 widescreen display and the resolution is upgradable at a cost, but it will reach up to 1920 × 1080.

The EnGadget said in their review that the new Acer Chromebook 15 seemed to be the laptop that everyone can rely on. The Acer Chromebook 15 has a 16GB storage packed with 2GB RAM. As the review said, this laptop is not a type that can be recommended due to its low spec and yet it is released in 2016.

On a different review, which was made by the Chrome Unboxed, it says that the new Acer Chromebook 15 is simply one of the best computing device for those casual users. The 2GB RAM is enough to run Chrome OS, which won't be a big deal since it only uses a small amount of memory.

The Acer Chromebook 15 may seem to be a low-powered laptop, but just be reminded that it is not running a Windows OS. AS of today, the Acer Chromebook can be bought at the Wal-Mart, for a price not more than $200.
