3 Creepy Clown Teenagers Caught Scaring People Ended Up In Jail

Three teenagers, all from Oshawa, disguised as clowns ended up in Oshawa police station after being reported to have been causing trouble and scaring people in the area of Taunton Road and Simcoe Street North, Durham authorities said. Now, the three clown teens are charged with attempt to scare the public and reckless driving.

Police said that on Friday, around 3:30 p.m., they received reports about a suspicious car in the area of Simcoe Street and Taunton Road, as of CP24. Immediately they went to the area. They found one female teenager, 18, and two male teenagers, both 19, who were accused by witnesses causing a nuisance in the area.

"Witnesses called police after observing a grey Saturn with three occupants, all of them wearing clown masks, stopping near other cars and pedestrians in a dangerous manner," police said according to Toronto Sun. According to the witnesses, the two masked passengers in the car were spotted opening the car doors and attempting to scare others and leaning out the car windows while the car was moving, the Toronto Sun also noted as per the Police.

After hearing the stories of the witnesses, the authorities right away stopped the grey Saturn and charged the three teen clowns. The 19-year-old male teen is charged with reckless driving and attempt to scare the public, while his two companions, an 18-year-old female teen and a 19-year-old male teen are charged with attempt to scare the public, according to Global News.

Durham authorities announced that they have already responded to 31 calls of creepy clown sightings since the beginning of October, according to Global news. The craze involves people disguising as clowns to scare innocent people.

Threatening, scary clown sightings have been increasing over the last couple of weeks, according to Heavy.com. In fact, at least 40 U.S. states have had odd clown sightings so far, and the number keeps increasing, the report added.

This is not the only time it happened in Toronto. Here's a video showing another prank that took place in Toronto School.
