Apple to Launch 'Victory Device', Name Confusion or Product Leak?

The multinational company could be planning for their next big launch after a mystery device appeared on the Apple Store on Oct. 17. Several users noted the listing of the new device "Apple Watch Victory".

The leaked device was seen alongside the standard edition of Apple Watch on an AppleCare+ support page for United Arab Emirates as warranty selections were advertised. It was also shown on a support page for Canada with the name Apple Watch Nike+.

Another theory about this mystery device is that it is a name contender for the Apple Watch Nike+. It might have been an early name considered by Apple for the newest addition to Apple's wearables.

Apple's partnership with Nike developed a wearable device featuring improved fitness tracking functions. The Nike+ branded Apple Watch is expected to be in stores on Friday, Oct. 28. Prices could range from $369 to $399.

According to Jordan Khan of 9to5, some countries list Apple Watch Nike+ model as Nike Watch Victory. Meaning, there is a possibility that the appearance of the Victory device in Apple's online store was just a transition or input error. References to the mysterious Victory device have been taken down by Apple but not before the rumors have already surfaced.

Reports have it that this new device could cost cheaper than other Apple Watches. There was no mention of Apple Watch Series 2 on the page thus speculating a name confusion to the Victory name intended for the rumored latest version of Apple Watch.

The latest generation of Apple's wearable was revealed a month ago together with the release of iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. Recent Apple's wearable devices include Apple Watch Series 2, top-ranked by Express.co.uk, Apple Watch Hermes, and the Apple Watch Nike+.
