Ever since the end of the recent "Game of Thrones" season finale that saw fan favorite Jon Snow stabbed by the Night's Watch and left to die in the cold, there has been speculation about a possible character return.
While the 28-year-old has maintained that Snow has died, a recent sighting of the star shows that the actor has been growing his hair. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the "GOT" star was photographed at a Wimbledon tennis match in London Thursday.
Hollywood Life reported that the actor's long hair is incredibly similar to the Jon Snow hair style which could mean the actor is growing out his hair for a possible return next season. "But this particular hairstyle gives us hope. Kit could have decided to cut it off after he was officially off the show, but he didn't. However, he could be keeping his long hair for another role," wrote the publication.
Along with Harington, the showrunners of the hit HBO series have repeated responded to come back speculation by saying Jon won't return but Emilia Clarke has been singing a different tune. Last week Clarke admitted that there is a change the "GOT" hunk will be back for the sixth season.
"I mean, if I had to bet, I'd say there's a 50/50 chance. I mean, there's some helpful people there who could bring him back to life, but if it means that I'm that much closer to getting to the throne then, hey, okay," said Clarke during a recent MTV interview (via TV Guide). She does backtrack saying she doesn't know anything for sure but points out that during the tragic death of Snow, Melissandre appeared at the wall. Why else would the Red Woman be there unless she was going to use her powers to bring Jon back to life.
Last year, during an appearance on "Live With Kelly and Michael," Harington revealed that he was obligated to keep his hair intact for his role as Jon. Design & Trend notes that while the actor could have kept it at that length even though his role in the show was over but that's probably not the case.
The site notes how he mentioned, "It has its own contract definitely." He added, "I never thought I'd say that about my own hair. I'm just not allowed to cut it. And I didn't realize this until recently. I wanted to cut it. I've had long hair for ages and they were like, 'no, no, no, that won't be happening.'"
