Great news for fans of Phil Collins who are longing to see the singer-songwriter again on stage as the 65-year old musician recently announced a concert tour to happen in June 2017. The announcement made during a press conference revealed that the singer will be performing in a series of road shows dubbed, "Not Yet Dead."
Entertainment Weekly reported details of the concert tour by noting the locations of Phil Collins shows which include Paris, France and Cologne, Germany. The singer will also fill the Royal Albert Hall in London with great music for six nights.
The "Not Yet Dead" tour will mark Collins comeback after the singer made known his retirement in 2011. Since then, the famous singer has only been spotted in charity shows such as the U.S Open in New York and a charity event in Miami.
Phil Collins is certainly one of the most successful musicians of all time as a Wikipedia entry notes that he has sold over 100 million records during the course of his career. Before the release of his first solo album in 1981, Phil Collins used to be the drummer for the band Genesis. Phil Collins hits include "True Colors," "Another Day in Paradise," and "Against All Odds."
Along with news of his road tour, Phil Collins is also releasing an autobiography which shares the same title as his concert series this month. For now, retirement seems to be far from his mind as he is also open to the possibility of a reunion with former band, Genesis.
In a Guardian article, Phil Collins also welcomes the idea of working with the leading performers of today such as Adele, Beyonce, and Kanye West.
The tickets for the "Not Yet Dead Tour" will be available starting Oct. 21.
