Much to the disappointment of the fans who were impatiently awaiting the release of the Season 3 of the popular Japanese manga series, "Tokyo Ghoul," the latest rumors suggest that the telecast of the show has been canceled.
Reports have been circulating about the speculations that the anime series will never see the light of the day and the series would be ending with a cancellation. However, there has been no official confirmation from the creators of "Tokyo Ghoul." The writers of the show, Sui Ishida and Shin Towada have refrained from making any comments or confirming the cancellation. This has further sparked anger among the fans.
It was previously reported by Parent Herald that the "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3 is in the making, and the lead character Ken Kaneki will be taking on a new identity owing to her amnesia. She would be taking on the role of Haise Sasaki as she turns into a Ghoul investigator. Following the tremendous success of the first two seasons of "Tokyo Ghoul," the Season 3 was one of the most anticipated series of the year.
While some speculations also indicate that the earlier dates of releasing the show in 2017 will be adhered to, there has been no confirmation on this. When the show runners were enquired about the possibilities of a cancellation, they chose to remain silent. There are claims that the creators of "Tokyo Ghoul" are in the hiding because of the cancellation of the show.
However, "Tokyo Ghoul: Days," a collection of six sequential short stories that focus on the various characters from the popular manga series would be released in the near future under the banner of VIZ Signature imprint. It is expected to be a 280-page novel and will be priced at $12.29.
As far as the "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3 is concerned, fans can only hope for the writers to come out of their hiding and dismiss the cancellation rumors.
