The unlikely group of guardians are back as the first look at the new "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" teaser has recently been revealed, and it's everything we could ask for in the upcoming next chapter in the Marvel fan-favorite.
Peter Quill aka Star-Lord and the rest of the gang are back for an all new adventure across the universe, as fans of "Guardians of the Galaxy" were given a first look at the upcoming "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2." The preview is relatively short, considering the fact it was only a sneak peek to what's in store for the quirky heroes in the new movie.
With Blue Swede's Hooked on a Feeling playing in the background on top of some hypnotic chanting, we see Peter Quill (Chris Pratt), Gamora (Zoe Saldana), and Drax (Dave Bautista) suited up for another round of galaxy saving, while Yondu (Michael Rooker), sporting a red mohawk, makes a brief appearance walking alongside Rocket (Bradley Cooper).
Nebula, Gamora's half-sister who was thought to be dead in the first "Guardians of the Galaxy," will be back for the second film, but her role in the movie is yet to be determined. The trailer doesn't give away much of the film's plot, except that the humor from the first movie will be back in "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2," according to The Verge, concluded in a short scene where Drax gives Quill some brutally honest advice, saying that the Quill should find a woman who is pathetic just like him.
According to an article from Rolling Stone, Yondu and Nebula, who were adversaries from the first film, might return as allies for Quill's group in "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" as they take on a new foe, but nothing yet is confirmed.
The teaser concludes with a shot of Rocket and a tiny, baby Groot, sporting a battle jacket. "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" will be hitting theaters in May 2017.
