Xiaomi's new line of high-end smartphones, the Xiaomi Mi Note 2, will be unveiled in the coming week, but due to a recent online leak, the specs of the new smartphone are now available, and it looks pretty awesome.
The Chinese electronics company, Xiaomi, has long been trying to break in the US market and all over the west with their number of great yet affordable electronic devices, such as Xiaomi's Android TV, the Mi Box. Now, they hope to take one step closer to entering the mainstream Western electronic device scene with their new Mi Note 2 smartphone.
According to Phone Arena, Xiaomi was ready to show the Mi Note 2 to the public on October 25, but now, we no longer have to wait for Xiaomi's grand unveiling of the Mi Note 2, thanks to an online PowerPoint leak. The slides on the PowerPoint have revealed that the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will come with a 5.7 inch Super AMOLED display with Force Touch, with a resolution of 1440 x 2560.
Powering the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is the Snapdragon 821 chipset with a quad-core CPU and the Adreno 530 GPU, which makes for a pretty powerful smartphone. There will be two versions of the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 that will be released, one with 4 GB or RAM and 64 GB of internal memory and another with 6 GB of RAM with 128 GB storage.
The Mi Note 2 will also feature a dual back camera setup with the 23 MP Sony IMX318 sensor and a 12 MP Sony IMX378 sensor, along with an 8 MP front cam. Xiaomi also added a 4100mAh battery with the Quick Charge 3.0 for a longer lasting, easy to recharge power supply. An Iris Scanner will also be available to unlock the new Mi Note 2.
According to The Verge, the new Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will come at an equivalent of $415 for 64 GB version and $445 for the 128 GB.
