Pregnant Kerri Walsh Jennings: 'Having a natural childbirth just feels right to me'

Beach volleyball Olympic gold medalist Kerri Walsh Jennings is planning to have another natural childbirth, People magazine reported.

Walsh Jennings, who announced her third pregnancy after winning a gold medal at the London Olympics, learnt the gender of her unborn child, a girl, live on the "Today" show, in December 2012.

The 34-year-old beach volleyball star and husband Casey Jennings are already parents to 3-year-old Joseph and 2-year-old Sundance.

"My pregnancies and deliveries have all been really wonderful and easy. The second one was almost too fast -- I didn't make it to my hospital and had to go to a closer one," Walsh Jennings, who had natural births for her sons, told WebMD. "Having a natural childbirth just feels right to me; it doesn't feel like I'm forcing anything."

During the interview, the expecting mom also revealed changes in the pregnancy symptoms while carrying her daughter, compared to her sons.

"I have felt really different. Right after I came home from London, the second it was confirmed I was pregnant I started feeling sick," Walsh Jennings, who experienced acne for the first time in her third pregnancy, explained. "I had that mild hangover feeling all day long, which I never had with the boys, and it wasn't fun."

Jennings, who has cravings for lemonade, fried egg, sandwiches, crispy bacon and cotton candy, also revealed the secret behind her healthy pregnancy.

"Working out helps with labor and helps with my mental and emotional state while I'm pregnant," she said. "It helps me accomplish whatever I want. I lift weights, do Pilates, and now that my motivation is back there's a sand dune by me that I plan on walking once a week."
