It's like a sequel to a movie no one ever wanted. The Russell Crowe-Azealia Banks fight gets another chapter when fellow party goer, RZA, speaks out of what really happened that night.
ParentHerald recently reported about the Russell Crowe-Azealia Banks fight that ensued in a hotel suite in Beverly Hills. A "he said, she said" situation happened with Russell Crowe's camp(mostly his party guests) pointing that Azealia Banks was the culprit of the whole debacle for "behaving erratically and violently" towards Russell Crowe and his other guests. Rapper Azealia Banks was then booted out by the party by Russell Crowe himself.
Azealia Banks then goes to social media to air her side of the story. The rapper accuses Rusell Crowe of manhandling her and spouting racial slurs towards her. Azealia Banks has then filed a police report against Russell Crowe as reported by People.
Now, one of the guests of the party, RZA took to Facebook to tell his take on that faithful night. It must be noted that it was RZA who bought Azealia Banks to Russell Crowe's party as his plus one. The Wu-Tang Clan rapper-turned-director has denied most of Azealia Banks' accusations.
RZA, in his Facebook post, said that Azealia Banks was the one who was rude, loud and obnoxious to Russell Crowe and his guests. RZA continues to say that Russell Crowe and the other guests tolerated Azealia Banks but had enough of her behavior when it turned physical. It was then that Azealia Banks was stopped by Russell Crowe and thrown out of the party.
RZA also denied that Russell Crowe hurled racial slurs towards Azealia Banks but does confirm that the Gladiator actor spat her way when Azealia Banks was out of the suite. After Azealia Banks was thrown out, RZA adds that although he couldn't understand Azealia Banks' behavior that night, he made sure that the rapper got home safely.
RZA further says he has only known Azealia Banks professionally and Azealia Banks' actions that night puzzled him. RZA also denies that he has signed Azealia Banks to his label.
Azealia Banks would not be Azealia Banks if she didn't react to RZA's statement. In her own Facebook post, the rapper said RZA was trying to "gaslight her". The rapper also said that if she was the party wrecker, why would she have stayed that long in the party.
In an interview with US Weekly after the incident, Azealia Banks said she has withdrawn her complaint against Russell Crowe and would just like an apology from the "Gladiator" star. Azealia Banks adds that even though most has now known her as the "crazy girl", she would like people to "focus on her music, not on her controversies".
Throughout all these, Russell Crowe has remained mum on the subject. The actors' legal team has been handling the situation.
