Baby Slice Kevin Ferguson Jr.'s professional debut fight, son of the King of the Web Brawlers Kevin "Kimbo Slice" Ferguson, has been shoddily postponed. Baby Slice is matched against Ray Bing.
In USA Sports Today, Baby Slice's opponent Ray Bing missed weight by nearly 17 pounds, resulting in the cancellation of their fight. Because of this, Kevin Ferguson is disappointed.
Kevin Ferguson Jr., also known as the Baby Slice, was supposed to have his Bellator debut against Ray Bing in a 165-pound catchweight bout at Friday's Bellator 162 event, which would take place at FedEx Forum in Memphis. However, Bing weighed in at 181.9 pounds, forcing the promotion to call off the matchup.
According to My MMA News, Baby Slice Ferguson Jr. was paid his show money and will be re-scheduled to fight before the end of this year.
Baby Slice Ferguson Jr. was initially scheduled to make his Bellator debut last August at the Bellator 160 but his fight was unfortunately pushed back due to his injury. He has then scheduled again for Bellator 162. However, 24 hours before the event was scheduled to begin, his opponent was ruled out of the card before they can even intimidate with each other.
Baby Slice Kevin Ferguson Jr. MMA debut began after his knockout match against Tom Brink, 2-0. He won in the first round during the March 2016 event hosted by Warrior Nation Xtreme Fighters Alliance. The Kevin Ferguson Jr.-Tom Brink fight took place on March 12 at the Hu Ke Lau Showroom in Chicopee, Massachusetts.
With seven more Bellator actions scheduled for the remainder of this year, the promotion has assumed that Ferguson Jr. will be sited on another card against a new opponent.
