Lorelei and Rory Gilmore will reunite on Netflix this year, along with the most of the Gilmore Girls cast except for Edward Hermann playing Richard Gilmore who passed away in 2014.
Fans can expect the return of the girls namely Lorelei played by actress Lauren Helen Graham, 49, Rory acted by Alexis Bledel, 35, and the granny Emily Gilmore played by Kelly Bishop, now 72.
On an earlier interview with TVLine, Graham quoted, "But that's where we're all starting from, and it feels so real. It's hard to be here without him," when asked about losing Hermann who acts as the Gilmore patriarch.
The awaited eighth season is entitled, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life will premiere on Netflix, on four ninety-minute mini-movies. Each episode will give viewers a glimpse of the seasons the Gilmore way, starting with Winter, eight years after their finale still in Stars Hollow, Conn.
Another awaited return will be of Lucas "Luke" Danes, represented onscreen by Scott Patterson, 58. Whether Lorelei and Luke finally get together on this season is something to watch out for.
Recent Netflix promotional photos also include Jess, Rory Gilmore's love interest played by Milo Ventimiglia, 39. Another Rory suitor is Logan Huntzberger, played by Matthew Charles "Matt" Czuchry, 39. Who Rory ends up with on these episodes remains a mystery.
Bledel said in an interview, "I think the end of A Year in the Life should satisfy all fans, whatever their preference."
Supporting actors also confirmed their comebacks, such as Keiko Agena, Sean Gunn and Emily Kuroda. Even the return of Sookie is now official, as confirmed on Ellen's Show by the actress herself, Melissa McCarthy.
Most of the characters from all seven seasons may return, making A Year in the Life a reunion.
Netflix will launch Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life starting November 25.
