‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 7 Updates, News, Release Date: S7 Will Be Least Watched? GRRM Talked More ‘GoT’ Sex?

"Game Of Thrones" Season 7, from HBO and showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, is bringing all the big guns together in Westeros. Yet, despite the promise of piecing together all the puzzles that George R.R. Martin laid out in the "Game Of Thrones" source material ("A Song Of Ice And Fire" saga), Season 7 may have the lowest viewership.

Variety reports that David Benioff and D.B. Weiss will deliver "Game Of Thrones" Season 7 with only seven episodes. "Game Of Thrones" Season 8 on the other hand could run somewhere between six and eight episodes in total.

According to Digital Spy, an interview with David Benioff and D.B. Weiss on the podcast "UFC Unfiltered" yielded the revelation that George R.R. Martin did not always agree with how "Game Of Thrones" shifted away from "ASOIF" at times. However, David Benioff and D.B. Weiss also revealed that George R.R. Martin understood when "Game Of Thrones" had to be given a different treatment from expositions in "A Song Of Ice And Fire" ("ASOIF").

George R.R. Martin, in fact, commends David Benioff and D.B. Weiss on their persistent use of explicit sex when developing plots in the "Game Of Thrones" series. Citing an interview with George R.R. Martin, Financial Times previously reported that the "ASOIF" author approves of using more "Game Of Thrones" type sex in the industry.

According to George R.R. Martin, more "Game Of Thrones" type of sex could only generate more interest and should be more widely used by the industry. Despite behind-the-scene unity among George R.R. Martin, David Benioff and D.B. Weiss "Game Of Thrones" Season 7 may possibly have the lowest viewership in the HBO adaptation.

The reason ties in with "The Winds Of Winter" release date by George R.R. Martin, which may now fall behind "Game Of Thrones" Season 7. While previous "Game Of Thrones" seasons coincided with already released "ASOIF" books by George R.R. Martin, Season 7 will be making big revelations covered in the scope of the unreleased "The Winds Of Winter" and "A Dream Of Spring."

A number of "ASOIF" readers who have been following the George R.R. Martin adaptation on HBO may not be so willing to spoil "The Winds Of Winter" and "A Dream Of Spring" with "Game Of Thrones" Season 7. Will you be sitting through "Game Of Thrones" Season 7, or will you hold out until after the last two "ASOIF" books are released?
