WASHINGTON - Actor William James "Bill" Murray packed up the White House press conference room on Friday to talk about his beloved Chicago Cubs for a couple of minutes. Then after press secretary Josh Earnest finished his daily briefing Friday, he tossed up some shade at Los Angeles Dodgers.
In Chicago Tribune news, Murray was asked that as a President of USA, do he think the Cubs will win. The Cubs which is one win away from heading to the Baseball World Series and will be clashing with the Los Angeles Dodgers on Saturday.
Murray said that he feel very confident that Clayton Kershaw is a great pitcher but Chicago Cubs got too many sticks and still have something hide in their sleeves. Murray deadpanned as some people in the room chuckled by commenting that At home with the crowd, the weather it got a little bit of autumn in Chicago but it won't happen in Los Angeles. He further emphasized that trees just die in Los Angeles! But in Illinois, they flourish.
During Murray in the White House, he also met with the President Barack Obama. Obama in the USA today said that Bill was wearing a Cubs jacket which for a White Sox fan be a little troubling.
While neither the President nor the White House would give an official clarification for their meeting, Murray will be receiving the Mark Twain Prize for the American Humor on Sunday at the Kennedy Center in Washington.
It also just so comes about that Sunday is also the seventh game of the Baseball National League Championship Series stuck between the Chicago Cubs and the Los Angeles Dodgers, with the winner going to the World Series in a celebrated clash of baseball's most long-suffering teams. The Chicago Cubs lead the league series of 3-2.
