Carrie Underwood had quite a memorable weekend. The "American Idol" alum shared that her 4-month-old son, Isaiah Michael Fisher, was locked insider her car on Saturday morning, according to The Huffington Post. As if the drama was not enough, the Grammy Award-winning singer added that even her pet dogs were inside the same vehicle. Fortunately, Underwood decided to calmly approach the situation and managed to successfully hurdle the obstacle with all the parties involved leaving the scene unscathed.
The "Jesus Take The Wheel" singer shared the incident via social media. She wrote on Twitter, "When your dogs manage to lock themselves, all your stuff & the baby in the car & you have to break a window to get in. #WhatAreTheChances." Unsurprisingly, her message alarmed her approximately 4.6 million Twitter followers - with some expressing their concern and ensuring that prayers are being uttered for the safety of the singer's child and pets. Although the situation appeared to be daunting at first, Underwood found ways to extricate her son and dogs from the car - but not without a cause.
According to Underwood, all her things were left inside the vehicle so the only way to guarantee that her son and pets will not suffer from more time trapped inside the car was to break a window - and that is exactly what she did. Sparing no expense to save the lives of everyone inside the car, one of the vehicle's windows was smashed. This turn of events was shared by Underwood via social media as well. "I should clarify. My bro-in-law was actually the window breaker in the "dogs-locked-the-car-door" incident today! But all is good now!" she then added, later on noting that everything is fine except for the car window.
Apart from her fans and followers, Underwood's close friends also reacted on the incident. E Online reports that Hillary Scott, one of the singers of the widely popular country music band, Lady Antebellum, voiced out her concern via social media. Scott wrote on Twitter, "Oh. My. Word. I know your heart stopped!! Glad all your babies are okay!!!" Beth Behrs, the star of the hit small screen series, "2 Broke Girls," echoed the same sentiment and described the incident as "terrifying."
In September of last year, Underwood posted a photo of her two dogs in Twitter to help her and husband Mike Fischer announce her pregnancy. She wrote, "In honor of "Labor" Day...Ace & Penny would like to make an announcement. Their parents couldn't be happier!" Baby Isaiah was born on February 2015.
