Parenting Tips: Banning Tablets Improves Children's Behavior And Mental Health, New Study

A new study shows that kids who are not exposed to tablets are happier and more creative. Parents could limit the use of these gadgets to their and would be able to see the improvements in the child's behavior.

In an article published by The Wall Street Journal, parents who banned tablets in their house experienced to have happier kids, not to mention less crazy. That just means that their children behave more than when they used to have a lot of screen time using their tablets. Even when their kids are not at home, parents noticed that their children tend to be more disciplined and are easier to manage.

Apparently, these changes are not coincidental because the American Academy of Pediatrics has backed up these observations. The organization didn't completely tell parents to ban tablets for their children, but they simply showed and documented the positive result tablets don't exist in the hands of their kids.

In a more reasonable and realistic approach, they instead recommended that parents develop a plan that would regulate their kids' exposure to tablets. Creating a schedule for it usually helps. It is also best that parents sit down with their children to have a talk regarding their media usage. They have to make their kids aware of the consequences in their health if they don't stick to the schedule that they will give them.

Children who spend most of the time in front of their tablets, smartphones, TVs or computers don't get to enjoy the life that there is outside those gadgets. It would be hard for them to develop their social skills and it could also have a huge effect in their self-esteem.
