OnePlus is no stranger to hugging all the attention every time they announce a new device. Their previous star, the OnePlus 3 is one concrete example, and it was even coined as the "flagship killer" of 2016. Now, the Chinese based Smartphone maker is once again churning the rumor mill of what seems to be the "fastest" handheld yet.
Success is only meant to be repeated in order to maintain a steady flow of like-minded follow-ups. In the tech world, this would equate to a company releasing a product that would level or even surpass its predecessor. The OnePlus 3 was in fact, a beast: a 2.15GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon and 6GB RAM helped skyrocket the device to the upper ranks that also saw the likes of Apple, Sony and Samsung.
With this in mind, OnePlus is now aiming to sit in the throne itself. According to Pocket Lint, a new device tagged with a model number A3010 was recently spotted at the China Compulsory Certification, or more commonly known as CCC Mark. The body acts like the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the United States and serves as the final approving arm whenever a company releases a novel product.
On the other hand, Express UK is mulling on the fact that the device will be the 3T, OnePlus' upcoming flagship. Although it will resemble most of the 3's physical attributes, the website believes that it will come with another latest technology - the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor. This would mean that the OnePlus 3T will incorporate the same 6GB RAM, alongside an Optic AMOLED display, fingerprint scanner and an aluminum unibody.
Should all these prove to be true, there's a big possibility that the OnePlus 3T might just be unveiled in the near future. It will also be a good pitch that the device will come during the Holidays or early next year to welcome 2017 with a bang.
