Four teenagers face charges, and nearly 50 teens are now in custody after beating students and police horse in a mob-type attack.
The said incident happened near the Temple University in Philadelphia last Friday night which was caught on a surveillance camera. Surveillance video shows a huge group of teenagers appears to aim the victims extensively, beating and flocking them which lasted for two hours. The four teens were charged with robbery, assaulting a police officer and aggravated assault.
An estimated 20 up to 100 groups of teenagers stepped on the campus of Temple University in Philadelphia last Friday night, the police told NBCNews. Upon entering the school, the mob of crazy teens started kicking and beating students they came across. They even throw stones on passing cars.
Students identified by the Philadelphia police that were hurt was above six that night together with a police horse and one university police. Three various agencies have responded to the crazed teenagers' attack - Philadelphia Police Department, SEPTA police and Temple University Police.
One junior student said to the university news site The Tab that she was walking with boyfriend toward his boyfriend's apartment at 8 p.m. onto 16th from Cecil towards Oxford and halfway down the block when they were followed and beaten by two kids.
The student suffered bruises, black eyes, swollen left hand, and wrist. Her right hand also got deep scrapes from falling to the ground. Her boyfriend was not able to escape the terror and got assaulted too.
A father of one victim also shared to Facebook that her daughter, Christina Laulette, together with other two male friends were badly beaten by a group of "30 - 40 black teenagers" on their way home from the Temple football game. He added that her daughter was held down and stomped and kicked on the teen attackers repeatedly.
Overall, approximately 50 teenagers were brought to custody, and four teens age between 15 and 17 were accused of criminal crimes. Charges filed include hitting a police officer, robbery and serious assault.
