Heath Ledger played the legendary role of "Joker" from "Batman: The Dark Knight." The 28-year-old actor passed away in 2008 after he was found lying on the floor of his Manhattan apartment. Health Ledger reportedly overdosed from pain killers, sleeping pills and anti-anxiety prescription drugs.

Daily Mail previously revealed that the most recent investigation involving Heath Ledger's death revealed that the actor was reportedly consumed by his role. A source shared that Health Ledger found it hard to disengage from his role as the "Joker" since he didn't have proper training in terms of being an actor.

"He was studying up on the origins and all of the previous Jokers like Jack Nicholson's character and Cesar Romero's who was the first Joker on TV," a source stated. "He was trying to make his role different from the roles of the other actors. He was even studying how to make his voice different from theirs."

"It was totally his fault," Kim Ledger told the Daily Mail Australia. "It was no one else's. He reached for [the pills]. He put them in his system. You can't blame anyone else in that situation. That's hard to accept because I loved him so much and was so proud of him."
