Claire Danes' Infant Son Cyrus Gaining Weight

Like any other ordinary mother, celebrity mom Claire Danes is excited with each and every minute achievement in her son's life, particularly at the speed at which the little boy is gaining weight.

The 33-year-old actress and her husband Hugh Dancy welcomed their first child, Cyrus Michael Christopher Dancy, in December 2012.

At the Screen Actors Guild Awards Sunday, the "Homeland" star couldn't stop talking while referring to her infant son.

"He's six weeks and getting fat. It's very exciting. All that time on the boob is starting to result in growth," People magazine quoted Danes telling E! News anchor Giuliana Rancic. "He's getting rolls ... thank goodness they've arrived. He's starting to smile a little bit and he kind of knows I exist. That's reassuring - that feedback is amazing."

During the chat, the actress, who grabbed the best actor title for her role in "Homeland", acknowledged that her married life helped balance her real and screen life.

"I'm able to disassociate," People magazine quoted the actress as saying. "There are all these unconscious rituals that help me engage and disengage like taking my wedding ring on and off, helps free me up. I wouldn't be able to sustain it otherwise."

Danes met Dancy during the shooting of the movie "Evening" in 2007. After dating for more than one year, the couple tied the knot in France in 2009.

Danes, whose father was a dean of the Art and Architecture School at Yale University, started her career in acting with a guest appearance on the television series "Law & Order". She shot to fame after her role in the television series "My So-Called Life", which grabbed her a Golden Globe Award and an Emmy nomination.

She plays the role of Carrie Mathison in the drama/thriller series "Homeland", which earned her a 2012 Golden Globe for Best Actress in January 2012.
