Planned Parenthood Admits to Selling Aborted Baby Parts; Actress Patricia Heaton, Politicians & Anti-Abortion Groups Slam Organization [Watch Video]

Undercover activists from the Center for Medical Progress secretly took the video of a top doctor from Planned Parenthood, who admitted, in graphic detail, how the organization sells body parts of aborted fetuses.

Dr. Deborah Nucatola, Senior Director for Medical Services at Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA), thought she was having a business lunch with possible buyers from a human biologics company when the video was taken, so she didn't hold back in explaining the system to the "clients."

"I'd say a lot of people want liver," she told the actors posing as buyers, according to Daily Caller. "And for that reason, most providers will do this case under ultrasound guidance, so they'll know where they're putting their forceps."

"For example, I had 8 cases yesterday," the doctor further said. "And I knew exactly what we needed, and I kinda looked at the list and I said, alright, this 17-weeker has 8 lams, and this one - So I knew which were the cases that were probably more likely to yield what we needed, and I made my decisions according to that too."

While eating her salad, Nucatola further explains how they keep certain organs of the unborn whole. “We’ve been very good at getting heart, lung, liver, because we know that, so I’m not gonna crush that part, I’m gonna basically crush below, I’m gonna crush above, and I’m gonna see if I can get it all intact.”

When the disturbing video leaked, the public was outraged, including actress Patricia Heaton of the "Everybody Loves Raymond." She expressed her disgust and slammed the health care organization in several posts on her Twitter account. Patricia also re-tweeted many messages from other users who were appalled and upset by the doctor's admissions. The actress even gave the nickname "Hannibal" to the doctor.

Republican presidential hopeful Jeb Bush also blasted PPFA, according to Time Magazine. He described the video as "a shocking and horrific reminder that we must do so much more to foster a culture of life in America."

Sen. Ted Cruz, on the other hand, issued a statement on his website, urging the defunding of PPFA.

Anti-abortion groups are now calling on congress to start an investigation into the matter, especially since the sale and purchase of human fetal tissue in the United States are illegal, according to Washington Post.

But the PPFA is standing behind Nucutola and has already issued a statement on their website, defending the doctor's statements in the video and its sale of baby body parts.

The PPFA statement said that donating "tissues" is common in scientific research and other health care providers also do the same practice. The organization also pointed out that the secret video "falsely portrays Planned Parenthood's participation in tissue donation programs that support lifesaving scientific research."
