Muay Thai champion Caley Reece is almost to her term at 39 weeks. Yet the pregnant mom is still up and about, and training like she's not about to give birth. Her workout has been documented in a video and it's inspiring to watch. She exemplifies pregnancy fitness goals that prove even if a mom is heavy with child, nothing can stop her from doing what she does best.
The pregnancy fitness video featuring Caley Reece doing Muay Thai was shared on the champ's Facebook page. She demonstrates how she still has the same force, power and speed to deliver the kicks and punches even at 39 weeks.
She crushes the notion that her training poses a danger to her or her baby, as some of her followers worry she could trip and fall during her pregnancy fitness workout. "There is no more danger here than there is power walking or twisting in a pool," she points out in the video post, adding that moms shouldn't really have to stop what they love doing if they are pregnant.
In an interview via Bek Heaton Photography, the Muay Thai champ revealed that she and her husband, Darren, who is her trainer, took a while to get pregnant. It did cross her mind that she might have to give up the sport she loves so that they could start a family.
But the baby came and the only thing she decided to quit was to professionally compete. As a sports person since she was 5-years-old, Caley Reece said that she didn't have to dial down on her pregnancy fitness workout because she knows her body well. The pregnancy, however, made her appreciate and be in tune to her body even more.
