Xbox Live Gold members and PlayStation Plus subscribers will get a new batch of free titles this coming November.
Sony and Microsoft both want to be part of their shopper's wish list so they're investing in online services to be part of a connected home. Game consoles like the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One are considered gateways to online platforms like watching movies and playing against people from all over the world.
This November, both companies will be dishing out the following free games: On Xbox One, Microsoft will release a stealth game mixed with murder mystery elements titled "Murdered: Soul Suspect" along with the anticipated "Super Dungeon Bros."
For the Xbox 360, the award caliber "Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon" will be available along with the traditional platform adventure game "Monkey Island SE." Both the "Far Cry" series and "Monkey Island" have a huge following so it's safe to say that plenty of people will be waiting in line.
On the PlayStation 4, Sony will release a B-movie-inspired shooter game entitled "The Deadly Tower of Monsters" which will make a lot of action junkies happy. Another game available for download is set in an intense world with an interesting cast of characters entitled "Everybody's Gone to the Rapture."
PlayStation 3 owners will have access to "Costume Quest 2," which is a game that has a Halloween theme with an incredible RPG battle system. A rally off-road racing game titled "Dirt 3" will also be available.
Gamers who are loyal to the PS Vita wouldn't be left out since they will gain access to "Pumped BMX+" along with the amazing puzzle game "Letter Quest Remastered." The two game releases make sense since the PS Vita is one of Sony's best-selling handheld consoles to date.
Each online service provided by Sony and Microsoft has a certain value added to it. The price of a PlayStation Plus and Xbox Live subscription will eventually be affixed to the original price of the console, so customers should be aware of the pros and cons of the service.
