There is no doubt that "24: Legacy" is one highly-anticipated series and this was recently proven after its latest trailer was released. The new teaser has hit millions of views online a day after it went out, despite not showing anything about Jack Bauer, the perennial hero of "24." So, will Kiefer Sutherland's Jack Bauer be in the reboot?
Kiefer Sutherland headlined "24" and played the role of Jack Bauer for almost a decade on the Fox action drama. But the people behind the show have not been upfront about the character appearing on the reboot, "24: Legacy."
Kiefer Sutherland, however, he confirms he is still quite involved in the series, but only behind the scenes. "My job has been a sounding board for some ideas for Howard Gordon," the actor told TV Guide.
As executive producer of "24: Legacy," Kiefer Sutherland has already seen the first two episodes and said that viewers should give the show a chance. Describing the series as "fantastic," the TV hero also believe that "24: Legacy" will flourish in the ratings even without Jack Bauer. "I've always believed very strongly that the star of 24 was the idea," the actor added.
"24: Legacy" will have a new lead in Corey Hawkins, who plays a former military man who is now marked and being hunted down. According to Variety, when Fox released the first full trailer of "24: Legacy," it received over 10 million views on Facebook overnight.
Fox did a pretty good job marketing "24: Legacy's" new trailer because it ran during the World Series' first game. Fox also ensured the show's success by letting the reboot premiere on a good night on Sunday, Feb. 5, right after the Super Bowl. Its second episode will air the following night.
The series will also star Miranda Otto, Jimmy Smits and Dan Bucatinsky. Learn more about "24: Legacy" in another teaser below.
