"Young and Hungry" ended its fourth season with characters Josh Kaminski (Jonathan Sadowski) and Gabi Diamond (Emily Osment) agreeing to sleep together but not be in a relationship. Will this continue in "Young and Hungry" Season 5? Many are wondering if the series has been canceled as it has not been performing well in the ratings as of late.
But actress Emily Osment, the young food blogger who became the personal chef of Josh, actually broke the news on her Twitter account that the comedy series will be coming back for Season 5! "Young and Hungry" concluded its fourth season two months ago, and despite the dwindling ratings, Freeform has still decided to renew it, as reported by Movie News Guide.
Contrary to rumors, Emily Osment will not be leaving "Young and Hungry," she is actually all set to start shooting next week! The rumors flew rampant when Osment slammed the social media account of "Young and Hungry" for using her personal photos for promotion of the show. The actress has since deleted her tweet and she seems excited for the upcoming season.
No spoilers or plot arcs have been announced for "Young and Hungry" Season 5, but it can be assumed that the season will still center on the complicated relationship between Gabi and Josh. They have been dancing around each other for 3 seasons before they tried to give it a go in season 4, only for it to fail.
Season 4 of "Young and Hungry" also saw the efforts of Elliot and Alan as becoming foster parents to Keisha, who also left by the end of the season, leaving Elliot feeling pain from the loss.
The comedy series, produced by none other than Ashley Tisdale, who guest starred as Logan Rawlings, Sophia's boss, will most likely be back by next year. Fans will just have to wait and see whether we see the conclusion to Gabi and Josh's story in "Young and Hungry" Season 5.
