NBC is rumored to be working on a "Will & Grace" reboot for the much-loved show to be back on TV once again. The rumors about the "Will & Grace" reboot started after an election-themed video for the presidential elections this 2016 featured the foursome.
The stars of "Will & Grace" are Eric McCormack, Debra Messing, Megan Mullally, and Sean Hayes. Accordingly, some people are in talks with the four in order to make a reboot of "Will & Grace." Sources are claiming that the "Will & Grace" reboot will have a 10-episode limited series.
No deal has been made yet with any of the aforementioned stars or the creators of "Will & Grace," David Kohan and Max Mutchnick. It remains unclear, however, if NBC will be airing the revival of the show or if Netflix will outbid them. None of the parties involved have commented on the possible "Will & Grace" revival as sources are saying that they are still early in the talks so it is unsure if the show could actually take place.
"Will & Grace" ran for eight seasons and won 16 Emmy awards. It was nominated 83 times. "Will & Grace" is about a single woman, a gay roommate, and their two friends. The stars were able to earn $600,000 per episode and the show remains to be a hit when re-runs are aired.
Debra Messing shared recently that she would never say never to a "Will & Grace" revival. She noted that there are platforms where six or 10 episodes could be done for a series and she does not believe that they would be coming back to TV again as she thinks that having a shorter-lived series via streaming could be a fun and fresh opportunity of "Will & Grace."
Eric McCormack, on the other hand, said that they are proud of the series finale of "Will & Grace" and that if ever a revival will take place, he and the others would be open to talking about it.
The cast of "Will & Grace" appeared on the "#VoteHoney" video and was set to appear like it was part of the sitcom. It has more than six million views, E! News reported.
Other reboots have been taking place in the past months such as "Full House," "Gilmore Girls," and many more.
