'No Man's Sky' Latest News Update: Did Sony Play A Role In Falsely Advertising Hello Games' Flagship Title?

Sony is clearing its slate once and for all regarding rumors that they falsely advertised "No Man's Sky." The gaming behemoth insisted that they did not promote the Hello Games flagship title as a multiplayer game.

Contrary to allegations, Sony did not include a description of "No Man's Sky" as a multiplayer-enabled game, per Pixel Vulture. The uproar has caused Sony to address the issue after the company received refunds from "No Man's Sky" purchases, among other several complaints.

The publication tried to get a refund and according to the customer representative for the company, the description of "No Man's Sky" has always been single player and that it was the media which lead players to the misinformation. "There was no mention of multiplayer within the product description on the PlayStation Store," the rep told the publication.

This is not the first time fans had an issue with "No Man's Sky." In fact, weeks after its maiden release, it has been highly criticized for the lack of a slew of features that creator, Sean Murray, promised.

Months back, Hello Games assured fans that they will deliver what's promised. Yet, the developers have been extremely quiet regarding the progress of the game.

While Sony has denied its alleged role in falsely advertising "No Man's Sky," IGN reports that the new PlayStation 4 bundles have been released and surprisingly, "No Man's Sky" is still included. Along with the controversial game are titles such as "Uncharted 4" and "Bloodborne Game of The Year Edition."

As previously reported by Parent Herald, "No Man's Sky" has hit another all-time low after it got dismal ratings on Steam. The procedural game had the highest number of overwhelmingly negative. Over 6,000 Steam users have rated the game as such.

For the record, among the 70,000 Steam users who rated "No Man's Sky," there are still a remaining few who believed in "No Man's Sky." About 32 percent of the Steam users who rated the game gave a positive feedback for Sean Murray's creation.
