'Surface Studio' Release Date, News & Update: Why You Should Be Excited? What To Expect?

Fans of Microsoft have been anticipating for the release of Surface Pro 5 Microsoft Window's 10, but it seems that the product release would be postponed on a later date. Yet it does not stop the excitement for the new piece of technology the company will be releasing on 2017 that would most likely have a huge impact on artists and designers.

The Surface Studio the Microsoft has revealed during their recent event is set as a PC, unlike its predecessor, Surface Pro 4 which the company designed as a tablet. The monitor is just 13 mm thick that will make it the thinnest LCD monitor ever built.

Microsoft has named it the Surface Studio's 3:2 ratio displays. It is said to be aimed at the artists and the designers due to the quality of the pictures that these items produce since the PC has 13.5 million pixels and has a 28-inch wide touch screen according to CNET.

It is easier for artists to draw since the monitor can be folded, like a drafting table, at 20 degrees and to support this new product, Windows 10 has the new "Creators Update" in which the artists has an updated version of the Microsoft Paint, where you can have 3D designs.

What is unique about the Surface Studio than other tech products released is that it has this accessory called the Surface Dial. It is shaped like a hockey puck for convenience to the user, to control artwork in any way, may it be changing to color that the user is currently using or rotating the picture. But convenient as it is, there will be an additional $100 for the said dial apart from the $2990 price of Surface Studio according to iDigitalTimes.

The processor for the PC will contain either i5 or i7, 32GB of RAM, 2TB worth of memory and a 4GB Nvidia GeForce GPU. There is a single power cable, an Ethernet port, a Mini DisplayPort, SD Card slot and 4 USB jacks.
