'Call of Duty: Black Ops 3' News & Leaks: Director Reveals Space Exploration Gameplay Plans [Details]

"Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" is arguably the year's most awaited game and with regards to the future and where the game is headed, an Activision executive offers ideas about space exploration.

While "Call of Duty" has explored space in the past, there are limits to where the game will go. Game Zone reports that per director Dan Bunting, "Activision will leave the traversing space to Mass Effect and Halo," the franchiser's other game titles.

The publication continued to analyze, "Those space missions of the past and the sci-fi feel of Black Ops 3 might make you believe that space isn't very far-fetched, but Bunting doesn't want people getting wild ideas. Call of Duty will always contain some level of authenticity. 'The way that we approach the creative on our game? I don't think we're ever going to reach a point where we just completely ignore finding authenticity.' Not looking to kill all the hope that some fans might have had, Bunting did say 'never say never'."

The third title for the Black Ops line is being developed by Treyarch and according to the game's description released with the 13-minuted play through last month (via Coming Soon):

"Call of Duty: Black Ops III will thrust players into a dark, gritty future, where cybernetics and biotechnology have given rise to a new breed of soldier. Empowered by Direct Neural Interface (DNI) technology, players will assume the role of Black Ops soldiers that are interconnected, faster, and more lethal than ever in a new four-player co-op campaign and a completely redefined multiplayer experience."

Gamers can also enjoy new multiplayer features along with customization options where you can pick and choose weapon systems.
There will also be a unique zombie mode where players will be tasked to beat waves and waves of the infected.

Gamespresso reports that "Shadow of Evil" is pegged to be the "deepest zombie experience yet."

Some of the celebrities lined up to help Activision and Treyarch create a believable gameplay experience include Heather Graham, Neal McDonough, Jeff Goldblum, Ron Perlman, and Robert Picardo.

"Call of Duty: Black Ops III" launches on Friday, Nov. 6 and will be available exclusively on PlayStation 4 after a Sony Computer Entertainment deal. The game was previously under an exclusivity deal with Microsoft for the Xbox One console.
