Nintendo is very careful in revealing any plans on additions on the upcoming "Nintendo Switch" video game hybrid console due to the recent drop of shares. Despite this fact, Nintendo claims to consider adding a VR support on the "Nintendo Switch" in the near future.
In an interview with the Bloomberg, Nintendo CEO Tatsumi Kimishima admitted that they are now won't resist of having a VR support on the "Nintendo Switch" console. They only need to make sure that the VR feature would fit on the "Nintendo Switch" specifications. Kimishima also added that having a VR would open up a wider opportunity to keep in the market.
With the current demands on VR technology, it may not impossible for the "Nintendo Switch" to have a VR support. But as the Cinema Blend said, with the current competition, Nintendo needs to be very careful and think about it thoroughly since there are several highly acclaimed competitors such as the Oculus Rift, the HTC Vive, the latest PlayStation VR and the upcoming Microsoft VR.
Meanwhile, a new feature of the "Nintendo Switch" was revealed by the Tech Spot. The Nintendo was not very informative about all the other features of the "Nintendo Switch" but it seems that it consists of a 6.2-inch display. The "Nintendo Switch" will be using 10-point touch screen display capable of an HD 720p resolution.
Aside from the fact that the "Nintendo Switch" is equipped with the latest Nvidia Tegra GPU chip, it is also equipped with 4GB RAM. Lastly, the "Nintendo Switch" will be using the retro game cartridge instead of the optical drive medium.
On the other hand, a press release by that Games Radar said that the "Nintendo Switch" creative designer Shigeru Miyamoto is claiming that the "Nintendo Switch" core specs have been already made and might not be able to have a VR support. This means that Nintendo fans should wait until the final announcement of the Nintendo company until next year.
