Evelyn Lozada Baby News: Third Pregnancy Miscarriage 'Just Wasn't Meant to Be'

Shortly after her excited revelation that she is pregnant with her third child, "Livin' Lozada" star Evelyn Lozada gets very sad news. In the sixth week of her pregnancy, she receives news that the pregnancy will be a miscarriage, and her third baby will be gone.

Lozada was still hoping that the pregnancy would go on and the baby would be well, but doctor's reports indicate that a miscarriage is inevitable - her hormone levels were very low, which indicated an expected, but gravely unwanted, miscarriage of her supposed-to-be third child.

"Getting the news that my hormone levels dropped was/is devastating! Hardest thing ever! " tweets Lozada.

Lozada received the news on the same day she was scheduled for a photoshoot with her daughter Shaniece. She decided to cancel that schedule to take time to rest and heal at home with her son Leo in the afternoon, and her fiance baseball player Carl Crawford in the evening, reports The Huffington Post.

This is Lozada's second pregnancy with Carl. They have a one-year-old boy named Leo. Evelyn had her daughter Shaniece from a previous marriage.

"I feel like when something tragic like this happens, whether it's this [miscarriage] or anything, I've learned that there's always something better to come," she says.

As her daughter Shaniece came to visit her with the intention of seeing how she is, Lozada shares how she feels physically.

"I woke up this morning-early, early this morning," she explained. "It was literally still dark outside-and I started feeling cramping. I knew... the process was starting."

She also shares to her daughter her immediate reaction to the news that she was going to miscarry, and why she had to skip the photoshoot.

With plenty of support from family and friends, Lozada was able to cope better, and deal with her situation in a much better way.

"I feel better," she told her daughter. "I'm like, Ok, it's happening. I've accepted it. I feel like I can deal," as reported on E!

Lozada simply hopes now that her story could help bring comfort and encouragement to other women who experience similar situations - women who have undergone, or are undergoing a miscarriage.

"I guess that's what I hold onto. It just wasn't meant to be." Lozada adds.

Evelyn Lozada was a former "Basketball Wives'" star, and is now currently the main cast in the show "Livin' Lozada."

"Livin' Lozada" airs Saturday nights at 9 p.m. only on OWN.
