With rumors sprouting like mushrooms about the release date of "Rick and Morty" Season 3, fans are getting more excited. There are reports that the show will be out by December, but this actually remains unconfirmed.
The speculated release date is based on the air date of the first season which was also in December. With that, reports are saying that Adult Swim might follow the same pattern, which may manifest that the series will be out in the last month of 2016. Ecumenical News even stated that the exact date of release is on Dec. 2.
Writers Erica Rosbe and Sarah Carbiener also teased the December release in an interview with Chicks Who Script. Back in October, the two revealed in the podcast that they are done working on the script and have turned it over to Bardel Entertainment in Vancouver.
But of course, fans should take this with a grain of salt since there is no official announcement yet as of this writing. Apart from the air date, it is interesting to note that "Rick And Morty" Season 3 will have more episodes than the previous seasons.
Season 1 had 11 episodes while Season 2, which last aired on Oct. 4, 2015, featured 10 episodes. But for Season 3, it will reportedly have 14 episodes. Apparently, this means more exciting episodes for the fans of the American animated television series.
While fans are waiting for the show's release, animated shorts for the Halloween special were uploaded on YouTube. The clips recreate classic movies which include "Halloween," "The Fly," "Ex Machina," "The Thing," and "Honey I Shrunk the Kids." According to Movie Pilot, Adult Swim worked with stop motion animation specialist Lee Hardcastle for the "Rick and Morty: The Non-Canonical Adventures" videos.
Meanwhile, spoilers indicate that "Rick And Morty" Season 3 that the granddaughter of Rick, Summer will play a major role in the season. Since Rick was sent to prison in the "Rick And Morty" Season 2 finale, it is rumored that Krombopulos Michael will help him escape.
