NBC started the month of November with a host of good news for the followers of their shows. For one, the television network announced three more episodes for the time-travel series, "Timeless." Then fans of the movie "Taken" can mark the date on their calendars as NBC likewise reveal the premiere date for the TV adaptation of the hit movie starring Liam Neeson.
According to a post from TV Line, three more episodes will be added to the "Timeless" series, for a total of 16 episodes for its Season 1. The sci-fi drama, "Timeless" based on a famous TV series in Spain, "El Ministerio Del Tiempo" premiered last Oct 3. It follows the adventures of a scientist (played by Malcolm Barret), a historian (played by Abigail Spencer), and a soldier (played by Matt Lanter) as they try to stop a time-traveling villain who is set to alter American history.
Although "Timeless" will have 16 episodes for its first season, an article from Cartermatt still expressed disappointment that "Timeless" will not have 22 episodes. The show's average rating may be the reason for this along with the fact that NBC has many shows in their roster.
With 3 more episodes, the Season 1 finale for "Timeless" is pushed back to the end of February. NBC then announced that the "Timeless" slot will then be taken over by a new exciting series, "Taken" set to premiere on Feb 27 next year.
The launching of "Taken" will also coincide with the return of the singing contest, "The Voice."The "Taken" prequel to air on NBC will star Clive Standen (Bryan Mills), Jennifer Beals (Christina Hart), and Gaius Charles (John).
With the news above, viewers surely have more reason to tune into NBC Channel.
