Gamers of "Gears of War 4" may just be in for a treat as players can now be hip-hop artists Run the Jewels, the latest feature in "Gears of War 4." The game features EL-P and Killer Mike as multiplayer characters, where gamers can now take on their fully-voiced likeness.
Windows Central reported that "Gears of War 4" Run the Jewels Air Drop also includes 18 weapon skins, along with emblems and bounties which can further enhance the multiplayer experience. The rappers are available in both "Gears of War 4" and Horde models.
Ars Technica revealed that Microsoft is charging twenty dollars for two skin unlocks, a single teal-blue skin for every weapon, two emblem designs that can be applied to player profiles, and two one-time XP bounties that can be claimed when playing an online match as either a Run the Jewels member. None of the contents can be unlocked using the in-game currency.
On top of that, Game Spot also reported that "Gears of War 4" will be adding its first post-launch DLC maps in the form of updated Checkout and Drydock from the previous installment. Players who have the game's season pass will be able to play the maps now, but the free version will be available on November 8.
The additions on "Gears of War 4" seems to be purely cosmetic but it compromises on the XP bounties. Apart from that, players who don't purchase the map or any map add-ons can still be able to access the new content online thru the "Gears of War 4" default matchmaking modes. This means gamers can expect less-player base fragmentation when any of the game's 24 DLC maps appear.
"Gears of War 4" has also gotten its title update in November 1 for the Xbox One and Windows 10 versions. Lots of improvements have been made, including weapon tuning changes and miscellaneous bug fixes.
