'Samsung Galaxy A8' Price, Specs & Release Date: Slimmest Smartphone Out This Week! US Launch To Follow [Rumors]

Samsung has released another smartphone that fans would surely love. The next high-end handset that the company is about to launch is the thinnest design Samsung has ever created, Samsung Galaxy A8. According to MobileBurn, Samsung first announced Samsung Galaxy A8 in its official Chinese division last week.

Samsung revealed that the first country to receive the sleek mobile would be China. However, the smartphone will make its debut in the company's home country, South Korea, on July 24, PhoneArena reports.

The gadget is available for purchase from SKT for 649,000 Korean won or $563. The smartphone will come in variants of white and gold. When the device will be launched in China, its price will be $515 for the base model and a bit more expensive for the 32GB variant at $564. For residents in China, if you can wait until the end of the month, it will serve you better as the unit will go on sale in the said country later this month, according to GSMArena.

Because of its Asian launch, there are speculations that after China and South Korea, the smartphone will make its way to Europe and the United States. The company has confirmed that it will be the case, according to MobileBurn.

For Samsung fans and those who are drooling to own the Samsung's thinnest smartphone here are some of its specs and features.

According to MobileBurn, the phone is 5.9-millimeter thin, weighs 151 grams and comes with a 5.7-inch screen. That would be a perfect fit for one's grasp.

Moreover, for users who aim to use their mobile phone for gaming or watching videos, the model comes with Super AMOLED Full HD 1080p panel, which enables faster reaction and higher contrast level, delivering a more detailed and clearer display compared to LCDs. Super AMOLED also gives its users better color reproduction and wider viewing angles for a more fun experience, according to SamMobile.

It is also equipped with a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor clocked at 1.5GHz paired with a 2GB of RAM.

Samsung Galaxy A8 comes in two choices of storage, 16GB or 32GB. The good news is, Samsung included a microSD card slot, so users have the option to expand their storage space.

It also has a powerful back camera at 16MP and a 5MP front shooter for selfies and video calls. The smartphone runs in Android 5.1 Lollipop with Samsung's custom TouchWiz UI baked on top. It also comes with a sizeable 3050mAh battery and a fingerprint sensor in the home button, Mobile Burn has learned.

The device already appeared on Samsung Chinese website, following the company's announcement that it will be released on the said country after its debut in South Korea. More likely, in the coming weeks and months, Samsung Galaxy A8 will be available globally.
