Rosie O'Donnell is a happy mom. The comedian is enjoying her new role as a parent and shared an adorable photo of her newborn daughter on Twitter.
"And now the smiling begins," the proud mom wrote, after posting a cute picture of her baby girl Dakota.
Fans and well-wishers of the new mom, who saw the innocent smile, couldn't stop themselves from admiring it.
"How can one not smile when u see this Rosie!! Infectious..," one of the comments read, while another added, "Ohmigoodness, what a sweet, goofy grin!"
Dakota is the adopted daughter of the comedian and her partner Michelle Rounds. The new addition weighed 5 pounds and 5 ounces at birth on Jan.5.
"We r thrilled to announce the arrival of r daughter Dakota - #withloveandthanks - AMEN," the 50-year-old wrote, after sharing an adorable photo of her newborn.
Apart from the new arrival, O'Donnell has four children with ex-partner Kelli Carpenter - Vivienne (10), Blake (13), Chelsea (15) and Parker (17).
O'Donnell, who started dating Rounds in 2011, tied the knot in 2012. Shortly after their marriage, the couple revealed their desire to have a child together.
"Michelle is seeing a fertility doctor," a source close to the couple told Us Weekly in January 2012. "She is really excited and they cannot wait to add to their family. Rosie goes to all of her doctors' appointments with her and is really supportive. She isn't pregnant yet but they hope as soon as possible she will be."
However, the comedian suffered a heart attack and her partner Rounds was diagnosed with desmoids tumors last summer.
