‘The House That Jack Built' News: Lars Von Trier Introduces Matt Dillon As Jack The Prolific Serial Killer

The iconic Danish filmmaker finally found his prolific serial killer before the entrancing of "The House That Jack Built." Matt Dillon receives the lead role of a ruthless murderer who is set to keep the viewers on their toes.

After Lars von Trier's five-hour drama "Nymphomaniac," he is back to offer us another layer of fear with his new temerarious thriller "The House That Jack Built" labeled as cynic, Trier is a man of cinematic masochist, simply because his films are often with unsettling subjects.

Deadline reports that the story goes back to the 1970's, Matt Dillon plays Jack, a highly intelligent serial killer who had been depicting murders for over twelve years. Over the course of his lethal studies, Jack has developed a horridly artistic killer skills. Jack will undergo obstacles of creating his ultimate bloody artwork as the police intervention is drawing nearer.

Dillon has established himself with a great acting career. Dillon is very grateful of the character he'll be playing. Moreover, the movie will create an epochal match with the addition of Swiss actor Bruno Ganz. Lars Von Trier even describes the two actors as fit organically into his cinematic family.

Meanwhile, Ganz is a very prominent veteran actor in German films for nearly fifty years. The 75-year old actor is best recognized for portraying Adolf Hitler in Der Untergang (Downfall) movie. No wonder why he fits perfectly in his role as Verge, and in the storyline itself.

The sinister story according to Variety news is already representing in the international market. Indiewire reports that the shooting of "The House That Jack Built" will come about in Denmark's capital, Copenhagen, and Trollhättan, Sweden.

There are four prominent female roles in this movie. But, Tier's team nor the film's production Zentropa is just yet to announce what those roles are and will portray them.
