On top of Lemony Snicket's (aka Daniel Handler) fantastic books and Jim Carrey's movie version, the footage of the TV reboot that signals its arrival on TV, features the first look at Neil Patrick Harris's blatant portrayal of Count Olaf.
In the movie, "A Series of Unfortunate Events" tells the story of the three Baudelaire orphans, Klaus, Violet, and Sunny. Count Olaf is their evil guardian who managed the family's estate after their parents' questionable deaths, says Variety.
Jim Carrey was Count Olaf in the 2004 film. It grossed $209 million for Paramount Pictures worldwide. As the villain exposes his greed, the children learn to outsmart Olaf and possibly uncovers the secret of the mystery involving their parents' untimely demise.
Netflix just recently released the first official trailer of "Unfortunate Events" highlighting Neil Patrick Harris' look as the notorious villain, Count Olaf. How would the children react on that since Olaf is popular in children's books?
Patrick Warburton also stars as Snicket, the author of the book. Joan Cusack serves as Justice Strauss, who is a judge living just next door away from the orphaned children in "Unfortunate Events", according to TV Line.
"Unfortunate Events" will run through eight-episode arriving on a Friday, after the holidays on Jan. 13. Search for the trailer video streaming online to get the feel of this nostalgic "Unfortunate Events".
