"Civilization 6" is the latest installment of the long-running strategy franchise. In the latest 4X game of the Firaxis', there are different and innovative ways for you to win. Many might wonder if it is even possible to win without waging a war in the game. However, there are win conditions like the religious victory or the cultural victory. These are a few of the revamped non-violent win conditions that are available in "Civ 6."
This is tested out when few fans ventured to play the game in a 'different' way. The game can be played in a much customized way but there should be some "Civ 6" tricks used as the game cannot be beaten by just following the non-violent approach. The title's rules are heavily modified and many parameters are created around it, reported Eurogamer.
Firstly, it might be a good idea to remove barbarians and the Domination win condition in the game of "Civilization 6." The game constantly spawns barbarians. This happens even in the modern eras. And dealing with the barbarians will require an active military. If you remove the Domination win condition in which you have to conquer all opposing capitals, it will reduce the need for opposing AIs to constantly wage war. After this, you will be attacked only if you reduce your advantage in the other win conditions. However, it should be noted that this will not completely eliminate fighting or wars in the game, reported The Polygon.
Also, start the game on the archipelagic map. This ensures that the civilizations are forced to be as isolated as possible from one another. However, you might still need to develop a strong military just to ward off other civilizations from waging a war against you. This is despite playing the most peaceful game of "Civilization 6."
The true nature of "Civ 6" and the other games of the franchise will encourage or rather force you to fight. It does not matter if you want to play a peaceful game or not. This is an empire-building game and violence is a part of it. The tips mentioned are ways to minimize the war and not to totally avoid it in "Civilization 6."
