After the music superstars, Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert, announced their split, rumors about the couples' infidelity towards each other go full swing. Initial reports suggest that it was Miranda who cheated. However, the "Automatic" singer denies such allegations and stressed that it was Shelton, who went astray with their vows.
According to TMZ, "The Voice" mentor suspected Miranda to be unfaithful and the "Aw Naw" singer, Chris Young, was dragged into the issue. Miranda and Chris were spotted together publicly from time to time, but the report suggests that another guy triggered the split.
Young, on the other hand, clears himself, denying that there wasn't anything more than friendship between him and Miranda, according to a tweet he posted on July 21. The tweet reads, "I don't normally address gossip but in this case I will," Young tweeted. "My name has been mentioned as a contributing factor in Blake and Miranda's divorce. That is totally FALSE. They are both my friends and I would not betray that friendship. Just wanted to clear that up. Love you guys. -CY"
In another report from TMZ, the issue of infidelity being thrown at Miranda outraged her. She stressed that in her four years of marriage with Blake, she never cheated on him, but he did. Lambert's claims were supported by her friends, who admitted that the "Sangria" singer hooked up with a famous country singer.
The sources also claimed that Blake's side was being unscrupulous. They threw mud at Lambert with the support of a powerful PR firm. The issue between Lambert and Young was only an allegation and both denied it.
Initially the couple was trying to have an amicable split when they announced their divorce in a joint statement, "This is not the future we envisioned and it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately." However, the incidents, rumors and issues that follow after their announcement obviously did not give them peace.
The couple has already divided their property, finalized their divorce quickly and even made their separation official in Twitter. The now exes deleted each other's photos on their personal account, only a day after they announced that their marriage was over, according to Us Weekly.
The two country singers tied the knot in May 2011 after five years of dating. The abrupt end of their marriage seems to be something that Lambert and Shelton do not agree with. "She wanted to try and make it work, maybe have more of a separation," an insider told People. "But he said, 'I'm filing.'"
Shelton filed for divorce in Oklahoma on July 6. However, sources close to him insisted that he did so because he had no choice. Things are not going to work, but he still loves her very much, People has learned.
