Ciara and boyfriend Russell Wilson recently made headlines when the couple confirmed to the public that they both decided to hold out on sexual intercourse in an effort to enjoy the romantic aspect of their relationship first. This piece of personal information was revealed by the Seattle Seahawks star himself in an interview with San Diego pastor Miles McPherson.
While many appeared to be doubtful of the couple's vow of celibacy, the two have been quite vocal about since the news broke. In fact, Ciara herself further clarified the intricacies of their decision in an interview with Access Hollywood Live. When the "I Bet" singer was probed on whether she and her NFL star beau intend to hold off on the intimacy until after they officially tie the knot, Ciara replied with a resounding "Yes!" She shared, "It's until the deal is sealed. Absolutely!"
Although no reports have surfaced with regard the couple's plans to get hitched anytime soon, marriage talks might be in the horizon especially if the comments of Wilson are to be used as basis for the said romantic development. In a separate interview with Access Hollywood Live, the quarterback said that he believes Ciara is definitely worth the wait and that his girlfriend is "one of a kind."
The same sentiments were echoed by the athlete during the 2015 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Sports Awards, according to Entertainment Tonight. "Things are going well," shared Wilson, referring to his relationship with the gorgeous singer. He went on to say, "Just to have such a great, sweet person by my side every day. She's just as good as it gets like I said." Further gushing about his girlfriend, the Seattle Seahawks player added, "She's got such a kind heart, her music is unbelievable, just being around her, her energy, who she is as a person. She's a tremendous person, tremendous mom so I love that about her."
With those said, Wilson was honest to admit that keeping their vow of celibacy has been challenging for him, adding that sticking to his word is easier said than done. He revealed, "I think we're both believers but ultimately I'll need you guys to pray for us because she's as good as it gets."
It appears, however, that Wilson is not the only one trying his best to not break the promise they made as Ciara herself revealed that it has been quite tricky, according to PEOPLE. She said, "I think both of us look at each other and we're like - whew." Ciara added, "But we take it one day at a time and keep it going with each other, and I'm really enjoying every day that we're sharing."
