Woman Who Came Forward Claiming Donald Trump Raped Her When She Was 13 Drops Lawsuit, No Explanation Offered

A woman who claimed that GOP nominee Donald Trump raped her when she was 13 years old voluntarily dropped her lawsuit. There was no explanation made regarding the move of the woman identified only as Jane Doe and is from California, People reported.

The daughter of women's rights lawyer Gloria Allred, Lisa Bloom, took to Twitter to say that the plaintiff dismissed her lawsuit. Bloom is working with the counsel of the plaintiff and added in a separate tweet, "Every woman makes her own choice about what is best for her. Life's a journey. Most of us get stronger as we get older. I respect women."

Jane Doe accused Trump of raping her during the summer of 1994. Allegedly, the rape took place at the Manhattan home of Jeffrey Epstein, who is a businessman and a convicted sex offender, during a party. Epstein was also named in the lawsuit.

Independent also reported that Jane Doe claimed the real estate mogul tied her to a bed and raped her. She was an aspiring model during that time. In the lawsuit of Jane Doe, she said that after the rape, Trump threatened her that if she was to reveal to anyone what allegedly took place, she and her family could be killed or physically harmed. The woman is now in her 30s.

Many women have been coming forward with their stories saying that they were sexually assaulted or kissed without any approval by Trump. The claim of Jane Doe also came after a 2005 tape was leaked to the public wherein Trump was heard talking about groping women.

Last week, the woman was scheduled to go public for the first time via a press conference in Los Angeles. However, she did not show up as it was stated that there was a threat in her life.

Trump has not yet commented on the dropping of the lawsuit.
