In his current residence in New Mexico, "Game Of Thrones" author George RR. Martin has taken his time off from writing the next book in the "Game Of Thrones" series to write a post regarding the U.S presidential elections.
In his LiveJournal post, aptly named "A Simple Observation", the "Game Of Thrones" author has said that for the past few days, there has been a bombardment of political ads on the television. George RR. Martin laments that although some of the political campaigns lean towards a more positive message, most of them denotes a negative message often attacking the opposing candidate.
The "Game Of Thrones" author adds that by comparing the political ads of Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump, one can see the basics of an "Attack Ad". George RR. Martin describes how the political campaign ads targeting Democratic Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton almost always uses a black and white photo of the candidate. It also almost always depicts Hillary Clinton in an ugly pose juxtaposed with words of extreme name-calling like a liar, corrupt and on the latest campaign ad with Anthony Weiner, pervert.
On the other hand, George RR. Martin has observed that the political campaign adds targeting Donald Trump always uses the Republican Presidential candidate's own words and actions against him. There is no need for name-calling as what Donald Trump did, does and will do is perfectly documented through the media.
The "Game Of Thrones" author asks why some of the Americans would vote for someone like Donald Trump. George RR. Martin says about Donald Trump, "In my lifetime, there has never been a presidential candidate more unfit to lead this nation". These are serious words from someone who can easily write about violent political aspirations in his books.
In no way does "Game Of Thrones" author George RR. Martin endorses Democratic Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. What he does point out is, after carefully listening and reviewing the words and actions of each presidential candidate, don't you think that Republic Presidential candidate Donald Trump is digging his own demise by his own doings?
Who are you voting for? Did you make the right decision for voting for that candidate?
