Scott Disick's alleged alcohol abuse may have gotten to a point where their kids Mason, Penelope and Reign are at risk when spending time alone with him. Such is the case that Kourtney Kardashian does not allow Scott to be alone with the kids, not without their nanny on the prowl.
Speaking exclusively with the Hollywood Life, a source said that Kourtney is very much in agreement if Scott wants to spend time with their kids. She only asks for Scott to have such visits under her terms.
"There needs to be someone with them at all times. One of their nannies must supervise the kids when they are at Scott's house. Kourtney doesn't want the kids at risk if Scott decides to get out of control and drink, or invite any wild friends over," the source revealed to Hollywood Life.
Kourtney had long since believed that Scott has a drinking problem. Back in 2010, the couple separated for a brief moment as Scott regularly attended therapy and tried to give up alcohol altogether. The couple then reunited and went on with their relationship.
While much have been said about Scott's addiction to alcohol and partying that led to the couple's split, nothing is said about what led him to such lifestyle. According to the U.S. National Library of Medicine, depression, low self-esteem, problems with relationships and living a stressful lifestyle may all lead to alcoholism.
Both of Scott's parents have passed away and Caitlyn Jenner understands how this may have been affecting Scott. She also hinted that Scott's problem may have stemmed from being emasculated in the Kardashian household. Caitlyn is reportedly on Scott's side after the couple's split because she was in the same situation back when she was Bruce.
"Caitlyn understands what Scott is going through. Caitlyn is worried about Scott because he is going through this difficult time without much support because both of his parents have passed away. As Bruce she felt emasculated in the Kardashian Family for so long - now she is ready to take sides against them," a source was quoted as saying by Celeb Dirty Laundry, citing this week's issue of Life&Style magazine.
Kourtney and Scott began dating in 2006. In 2011, during the final episode in the first season of "Kourtney and Kim Take New York," Scott had actually planned to propose marriage. However, when Scott opened the topic of marriage, Kourtney had implicitly turned him down. She said, "If things are so good as now... why would we want to change that?"
