'Supergirl' Season 2 Spoilers & Updates: Cyborg Superman To Appear On The Show; Producer Spills Details

For a while now, fans of "Supergirl" Season 2 have been speculating that Cyborg Superman will be appearing on the show, particularly on its Nov. 21 episode. Finally, "Supergirl" executive producer Andrew Kreisberg reveals details of this exciting theory.

First up, this Cyborg Superman will not be played by Tyler Hoechlin, Kreisberg confirmed this statement, according to TV Line. This will not be a surprise to DC Comics fans, as they are used to watching two different portrayals of Cyborg Superman.

Hoechlin's return would have been exciting for both fans of the show and its production team. Those working behind the scenes are said to think highly of the actor, and described him as a nice guy who's easy to work with.

With Hoechlin out, who could possibly play as the much-anticipated Cyborg Superman? The makers of "Supergirl" are still working on the comic-related details for the rest of the season.

In the original DC comics, Hank Henshaw is Cyborg Superman. In "Supergirl," however, actor David Harewood is playing as Hank Henshaw who is later revealed to be Martian Manhunter. However, it turned out that Martian Manhunter just took the identity of Henshaw who supposedly died in the series.

Could it be that Henshaw actually survived and is still alive? In a recent on-set interview, actor Harewood didn't confirm or deny anything but stated that anything was possible, Comic Book Movie reported.

"You never know," Harewood reportedly commented.

Despite the hazy details, one thing is certain. Cyborg Superman is definitely appearing on CW's "Supergirl" Season 2. While it is not yet certain how he would be introduced or which actor will be playing him, the suspense only adds to the thrill fans are craving for.

"Supergirl" airs every Monday at 10 p.m. on CW.
