Fans have appreciated the 7 seasons of spin-off series "The Good Wife," which just had its polarizing finale nearly seven months ago. It will be back with a debut this February 2017 titled "The Good Fight."
Veteran stars Christine Baranski as Diane Lockhart, Sarah Steele as Marissa Gold and Cush Jumbo as Lucca Quinn will still reprise their roles. The spin-off series is making a comeback a year after the "The Good Wife," which is set to stream exclusively on CBS online streaming platform, All Access. Variety has reported a few teasers about the upcoming "The Good Fight."
"The Good Wife" creators Robert and Michelle King will still be the executive producers of "The Good Fight." Returning favorites Christine Baranski and Cush Jumbo will still cast as the original characters in the series. "Game Of Thrones" star Rose Leslie will also cast along with Delroy Lindo, Paul Guilfoyle, Sarah Steele, Bernadette Peters and Erica Tazel.
TVLine reports, Gary Cole´s comeback as Diane's husband, Kurt McVeigh. Although, his role is still unclear if he will reprise his original character. Looking back, at how his relationship with Diane went haywire in "The Good Wife" series finale there´s no guarantee if they will remain a couple.
The story will continue with Mia´s involvement in a financial scam which puts her reputation at great risk. While her mentor Diane Lockhart faces a financial breakdown after her savings went down the drain. Both of them are forced out of Lockhart & Lee, but they will be joining Lucca Quinn at one of Chicago's pre-eminent law firms.
Moreover, the premiere episode of "The Good Fight" will be co-written and executive produced by Phil Alden Robinson, along with David Zucker, Ridley Scott, Brooke Kennedy, Liz Glotzer, and Alison Cross as executive producers as well.
